Angel

A pink-cheeked partner for your buildable Stitch, and honestly the more charming of the pair.

The verdict

Angel is the buildable companion to the Stitch model from 2024, and the funny thing is she quietly outdoes him.

She sits at the same price with fifty-odd more pieces, a pile of rarer bright pink and lavender parts, and those little floating hearts and butterfly that give her personality on a shelf. The one thing I keep coming back to is that if you already built Stitch, the top of her head is almost the identical build, so part of you is retreading old ground. For anyone who adores the character, though, she is a joy from the first bag to the last antenna.

Best for: Lilo and Stitch fans who want a cheerful posable display piece around 10 inches tall

The full review

What it is

Angel is Experiment 624 from Lilo and Stitch, and LEGO gave her the same buildable treatment they gave Stitch the year before. She stands a little over ten inches tall, all soft pink with those long eyelashes and a pair of curling tendrils off the top of her head, and she comes with three little hearts on clear stands and a butterfly to complete the scene. The bit that got me was how much livelier she looks than plain Stitch. The hearts do a lot of work, and once she is finished and posed with her head tilted, she has an expression that is hard not to smile at. She is squarely a display model, but she is a display model with a personality.

The catch

Let me be straight about the caveats. This is essentially the Stitch buildable in a new dress, so if you built 43249 you will recognise the head construction and internal framework almost beat for beat, and that can take the surprise out of a chunk of the build. At 64.99 dollars for 784 pieces the value is fine rather than remarkable, and you should know going in that there is no play feature here and no minifigure, just the buildable character and her accessories. The eyes are also radically asymmetric prints, which looks correct for Angel but means those parts are close to useless if you like to repurpose pieces later.

Who it's for

So who should get her. If you love the character, or you already have buildable Stitch and want the pair standing side by side in matching scale, she is an easy yes and arguably the better of the two figures. If you are chasing rare pink and lavender elements for your own creations, the parts list alone makes her tempting. The people I would steer away are builders who live for fresh engineering, because a good half of this will feel like a rerun, and anyone hoping for a playset, because Angel is made to be looked at, not played with.

The parts story

What the build is actually like, and the pieces worth knowing about.

The build breaks into sensible sub-bags and grows from the core outward, with Technic pins and ball joints threaded in as you go so the finished figure holds a pose instead of flopping. It is a smooth, confident sit-down build with a couple of genuinely clever moments, particularly the way the ears and the top tendrils are anchored so they stay where you put them. Nothing here is going to stump an experienced builder, but the posable joints keep it more engaging than a static statue would be, and the shaping of the head and cheeks with curved slopes is satisfying to watch come together.

The star of the parts draw is colour. Angel pulls in a lot of bright pink elements that are rare or brand new for 2025, including round corner bricks, curved bricks and a plate round 4x4 with a pin hole, several of which also turned up in the Plant Cafe and Flower Shop set. You also get new 2025 curved slopes with stud notches and fresh Technic pin connectors shared with sets like Mecha Team Leader. The printed pieces are unique to this set: the closed and open eye prints on the quarter dome, and a lovely medium lavender splotch on a large curved windscreen that is the one print flexible enough to reuse elsewhere.

Fun facts

  • 01Angel is Experiment 624 from the Lilo and Stitch series, and her song can supposedly turn reformed experiments evil again, which is a lot of lore for a pink fluffball.
  • 02She launched on 1 June 2025 at 64.99 dollars, the same price as the 2024 Stitch buildable but with roughly 50 more pieces.
  • 03She is built to the exact same scale as buildable Stitch, so the two are designed to stand together on a shelf as a matching pair.
  • 04The medium lavender splotch print on her belly windscreen is the only new print in the set generic enough to be genuinely useful in other builds.
