Is this the set for you?
Choose the Viper when its race-car shape and V10 are what the builder wants to examine. The engine, differential and opening panels give the project a mechanical focus; the Forza livery is an extra only for someone who already has the required game.
A good fit for: Car fans ages 10+ who want to build and inspect a V10-powered Technic race car.
Buy it for the engine you want to build
The Viper's mechanical features include a V10 with moving pistons, a differential and opening hood and doors. The interest is in assembling the mechanism and being able to look back inside it, as well as recognizing the race car on a shelf.
Ferrari 488 Pista 42235 takes a nearby approach with a V8, differential and top-knob steering. Choose the Viper for the Dodge and V10 preference; choose the Ferrari when its car identity and steering control are more relevant to the builder.
Keep the digital extra in proportion
Instructions in the box explain how to unlock a special LEGO Technic livery in Forza Horizon 6. LEGO says a copy of the game is required and terms apply. It is a reason to compare the set with a gamer's interests, not evidence that the game itself comes with the bricks.
If the recipient won't use that game, assess the physical car on its own. The moving engine and opening bodywork are the features they will still have.
Reserve a 30 cm parking position
The 805-piece set is marked 10+. LEGO lists the car at over 8 cm high, 30 cm long and 13 cm wide. Leave access to the opening panels if you want to inspect the mechanism after displaying it. That is a more useful space check than assuming every Technic sports car occupies the same shelf slot.
