Is this the set for you?

Choose Tower Bridge if you want the bridge itself to dominate a London display and have a surface long enough for it. The opening central bascules add a useful display choice, but the 89 cm width should decide the purchase before the 3,745-piece count does.

A good fit for: Adult builders interested in London architecture; Collectors with a long shelf or sideboard for a single landmark

Measure the full span

The finished model measures over 35 cm high, 89 cm wide and 19 cm deep. Tape out the width on the shelf you have in mind. A bridge that only just fits between other objects will leave little room to appreciate the river base or reach the opening centre.

For a more compact London souvenir, the official London skyline (21034) includes Tower Bridge alongside the National Gallery, Nelson’s Column, the London Eye and Big Ben. LEGO gives that skyline a width of over 11 inches. It makes sense when you want several landmarks together; 21067 gives the bridge the whole composition.

The choice between open and closed

The central bascules are the feature to examine in the official photographs. Closed, they continue the road through the scene. Raised, they change its outline and draw attention to the bridge’s opening span. Decide which version you want to see most often and allow enough access to change it.

The microscale bus and cars, water and waves make this more than an isolated architectural shell. They help explain what the structure crosses and how it is used. Those details are a reason to choose this particular landmark rather than judging adult architecture sets only by their brick totals.

Keep the gift tied to the place

This is an 18+ set, and its strongest reason to be on someone’s shortlist is a connection to London or to the bridge’s engineering. Before giving it, settle where it will stand. A confirmed home for the completed span is more useful than assuming an architecture enthusiast has spare shelf space.
