LEGO sets retiring soon (2026 list)
LEGO never announces a retirement date, so nobody actually knows the exact day a set disappears from shelves. What we can do is track which sets have had an unusually long run and flag the ones history says are due to go, so you can grab one before it's only available from resellers at a markup.
This list is our own editorial read, not an official LEGO announcement. Prices shown are original US retail pricing for reference; always check the live price before buying. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. How this works

How we decide what's retiring soon
LEGO doesn't publish a retirement calendar, and no fan site (including this one) has a direct line to that information. What we do instead is look at how long a set has already been in production, how its specific theme has historically rotated its lineup, and whether a newer set has already started to crowd it out on shelves. Sets we tag "leaving now" have had a longer run than most of their peers, which history suggests puts them near the end of their shelf life. Everything else on this list is a "watch" pick, meaning we think it's worth keeping an eye on over the next year or two rather than expecting it to vanish immediately.
Once a set is genuinely retired, it only exists as new-in-box stock from resellers, and those prices tend to climb steadily rather than drop. That's the whole case for buying while a set is still in production: the retail price is close to as good as it gets. If you're weighing whether a specific set on this list is priced fairly right now, our price-per-piece calculator is a fast way to check.
