The verdict

I love a battle pack that actually earns its shelf space, and this one does.

The 327th Star Corps troopers, Commander Bly's green clad legion from Revenge of the Sith, get real printed detail instead of stickers slapped on plain armor, and that alone makes this feel like more than a filler set. It is not going to wow anyone chasing big builds or vehicles, but for army building or filling out a Utapau diorama, it is exactly the kind of set I want to see LEGO keep making. Get it if you already have troopers to match it with, skip it if you need a single showpiece set.

Best for: Clone Wars fans building out squads and dioramas rather than a single centerpiece

The full review

What it is

The 327th Star Corps are Commander Bly's troopers, the green armored clones who march across Utapau in Revenge of the Sith, and I have wanted a proper battle pack for them for a long time. What I like here is that LEGO did not cut corners on the paint. The green stripes and panel details are printed, not stickered, which matters a lot when you are lining up multiples of the same figure on a shelf. Little army builder sets like this live or die on that kind of finish, and this one holds up.

The catch

I will be honest about what this is and is not. There is no vehicle, no big structural build, just the troopers and a handful of small accessories, so if you are hoping for a centerpiece set to sit on its own, this will feel thin. It is also worth knowing that clone trooper battle packs come and go quickly and sometimes get reprinted with tweaks, so if you want a specific run, do not wait too long once you spot it in stock.

Who it's for

This is a buy for people already building out their Clone Wars or prequel era collection, the ones who want a matching squad of 327th troopers to stand alongside their AT-TE or gunship. If you only want one Star Wars set for the year and want it to feel substantial on its own, put your money toward a vehicle or playset instead and come back to this once you have a bigger scene to slot it into.

The parts story

What the build is actually like, and the pieces worth knowing about.

Building this is quick and satisfying rather than a long weekend project, which is exactly what you want from a battle pack. The figures go together fast, and most of the actual build time goes into the small terrain or accessory pieces bundled in with the troopers rather than anything structural.

The real story is the printing on the clone trooper helmets and armor. Getting the 327th Star Corps green scheme printed cleanly rather than stickered is the single biggest reason this set is worth having, since army builders inspect that detail closely and stickers never survive close-up shelf display as well as printed plastic does. For the piece count and price, the accessory and weapon selection gives decent play value on top of the display value.

Fun facts

  • 01The 327th Star Corps is Commander Bly's legion, best known for marching alongside Jedi General Aayla Secura on Felucia and later carrying out Order 66 against her.
  • 02Their green armor markings are one of the more recognizable clone trooper color schemes from Revenge of the Sith, distinct from the standard plain white trooper look.
  • 03LEGO's clone trooper battle packs have historically been some of the most in demand sets among adult Star Wars collectors specifically because of army building, where fans want to display large matching squads rather than a single figure.
