The verdict

The red outline around that eye is what gets me every time I look at this on the shelf, it pops against the black in a way photos honestly undersell.

But I have to be upfront with you, this is the 2024 Spider-Man mask (76285) rebuilt in a new color scheme, down to the same internal structure and the same 487 pieces. If you love Miles as a character and want him staring back at you from the wall, that swap barely matters. If you already own the red and blue version and were hoping for a fresh build experience, you will feel the repetition almost immediately.

Best for: Miles Morales fans who want striking wall art and don't already own the Spider-Man mask

The full review

What it is

The first time I lined the finished mask up on its stand, that bold red eye outline against all that black just worked. It has real presence, more than a lot of Marvel display pieces manage, and the shaping under the mask feels sculpted rather than blocky. The build itself moves along nicely too, there's some genuinely satisfying part-angling going on that hides the studs and makes the curves look intentional rather than brick-built.

The catch

Here's the part I won't dance around. This set reuses the exact frame from 2024's Spider-Man mask, same 487 pieces, same internal structure, just recolored. If you already have that one on your shelf, building this feels like deja vu rather than a new project. And the sticker sheet is bigger than I'd like given the set already ships with printed shell pieces carrying the same graphics, it's an odd choice to double up rather than commit to printing everything.

Who it's for

If you love Miles Morales specifically, or you never picked up the Spider-Man version, this is an easy recommendation, it looks fantastic finished and mounted. If you already own 76285, or you're chasing a genuinely new build challenge, I'd let this one sit on the shelf at the store and save your money for something that surprises you.

The parts story

What the build is actually like, and the pieces worth knowing about.

Building this one is a quieter, more meditative experience than most LEGO display sets, you're working in mostly black and dark red, snapping curved slopes and shell pieces around a central frame until the face shape emerges. It's not a puzzle-box build with tricky sub-assemblies, it's more about watching the mask's expression come together piece by piece, and that part is genuinely satisfying.

The standout elements are the printed 6x8x2 shell pieces and the printed 2x4 curved slopes on the cheeks, both carrying Miles's eye graphics molded right onto the plastic rather than relying purely on stickers, though you'll still be applying a fair number of stickers on the top and sides. There's nothing rare or new-mold here since it's a recolor of an existing design, so the value is really in the finished display rather than in chasing unique parts.

Fun facts

  • 0176329 is a direct recolor of 2024's 76285 Spider-Man's Mask, sharing the identical 487-piece count and internal frame
  • 02The finished mask stands over 7.5 inches tall and comes with a stand built for wall mounting or shelf display
  • 03It launched July 1, 2025 at $69.99 in the US, and BrickEconomy projects retirement around mid 2027
  • 04Despite including printed shell and cheek pieces with Miles's eye graphics, the set still relies on a sizeable sticker sheet for extra detailing
