Is this the set for you?

Choose Mew's Drone Search for a physical search-and-reveal game rather than a conventional face-off. The drone, falling wall and hidden gem give the scene a sequence; a separately owned compatible SMART Brick adds its responsive sounds and lights.

A good fit for: Existing SMART Play owners who prefer discovery and aiming at a target to a fixed battle arena.

The target creates the adventure

The brick-built drone has radar and tilting, rotating rotors. Drop berries onto the target and the ruins' wall falls away to reveal Mew. Berry storage and a gem hidden in the ruins add discoveries around that central action. This suits someone who wants to search, aim and reveal rather than begin with two visible opponents.

Compare the action with the other exploration sets

Cavern Clash 72157 uses a rock-opening lever and Geodude's disc shooter. Eevee and Lapras 72162 links a raft journey to a shipwreck mechanism that lifts a rock over treasure. Mew's distinguishing task is aiming from the drone. Choose between those actions before choosing by the general exploration theme.

What needs a SMART Brick?

Mew, the drone and the ruins contain SMART Tags. Their responsive lights and sounds need a compatible SMART Brick from an All-in-One set; this 429-piece, 8+ expansion includes no brick or charger. Update older bricks for Pokémon through SMART Assist. LEGO lists the model at over 11 cm high, 9 cm wide and 8 cm deep. The announced launch markets are the US, UK, Germany, France, Poland and Australia, excluding Canada from that rollout.
