Pikachu has several jobs around the house
Train with the dummy, feed Pikachu the sandwich, or hit the target with the Poké Ball to reveal a Pokémon in the tall grass. The activities make this a starter for someone interested in looking after a Pokémon as well as preparing for battle. Four SMART Tags and the supplied brick enable responsive sounds and lights.
The important comparison is one brick versus two
Pikachu's set includes one SMART Brick. Charizard vs. Jolteon 72167 includes two, allowing the pair of Pokémon to be powered together. Choose Pikachu for its house and nurturing activities; choose the larger starter when the first priority is a head-to-head encounter with two responsive characters. The adult Pikachu and Poké Ball 72152 is a display model, so it serves a different purpose.
Charging and expansion ownership
LEGO quotes approximately 45 minutes of play per charge and up to 2 hours 30 minutes to charge via the supplied SMART Charger and USB-C cable. A phone is not required during play; SMART Assist handles updates and sound controls. Older SMART Bricks need the Pokémon update, while new Pokémon All-in-One bricks work out of the box.
