The verdict

The moment I opened this one, the Mandalorian Super Commandos are what grabbed me, sharp new armor prints and that cool silver visor treatment I have not seen on this faction before.

The clone troopers riding along are perfectly fine 332nd figures with Ahsoka's orange markings, but they feel like an afterthought bolted onto a set that is really about the Mandalorians. At under 120 pieces for two small builds and a jetpack pair, I would not call it essential unless you are actively building out this specific Clone Wars battle. For army builders chasing those Super Commandos, though, it earns its spot on the shelf.

Best for: Clone Wars collectors army-building the Siege of Mandalore arc, especially for the new Super Commando figures

The full review

What it is

This is a Clone Wars battle pack built around the Siege of Mandalore arc, and it splits its attention between two factions. You get two Mandalorian Super Commandos, decked out in armor prints I have not seen before with a silver visor instead of the usual black, riding a small stud-shooting speeder. Alongside them are two 332nd Clone Troopers in Ahsoka's orange markings, posted at a barricade with a mounted cannon. The Mandalorians are the reason to buy this set. Their printing is sharp and they finally give this faction some real presence in plastic.

The catch

Here is the honest part. The clone troopers, while nicely printed, showed up in their own dedicated battle pack recently, so putting two more in here reads as padding rather than a reason to double dip. And at $22.99 for 116 pieces split across two modest builds, more than a few builders in the community pointed out that older battle packs delivered similar content for fifteen or sixteen dollars. The barricade and speeder are quick, satisfying builds, but do not expect much time at the table.

Who it's for

If you are chasing the Super Commandos specifically, or filling out a Mandalorian army for this exact story arc, get it and do not think twice. If you already own the 332nd clone battle pack and just want more Mandalorians, I would keep an eye out for the Mandalorians turning up solo somewhere down the line instead, because half of what you are paying for here you may already have on your shelf.

The parts story

What the build is actually like, and the pieces worth knowing about.

Building this one takes maybe twenty minutes total, split between a compact Mandalorian speeder with a stud shooter mounted up front and a clone barricade built around a grille panel with its own swiveling cannon. Neither build is complex, this is a battle pack after all, but the barricade in particular is more playable than its size suggests, with a solid pivot on the mounted gun that kids and display builders alike will enjoy posing.

The real value sits in the minifigures rather than the parts count. The two Mandalorian Super Commandos carry new armor printing and a silver visor variant that has not appeared on this faction before, which is the standout here for any Clone Wars collector. The 332nd clone troopers reuse Ahsoka's orange-marked printing from their earlier appearance, solid figures on their own, just less novel the second time around. Jetpacks with blaster pistols round out the accessory count and give both factions extra posing options beyond their vehicles.

Fun facts

  • 01The Mandalorian Super Commandos in this set use silver visors instead of the black visors typically seen on this faction, a first for their LEGO appearances.
  • 02This battle pack ties into the Siege of Mandalore, the final story arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars where Ahsoka Tano and clone forces fought Maul's Mandalorian Death Watch splinter faction.
  • 03The 332nd Clone Trooper figures included here carry the same orange Ahsoka-aligned helmet markings introduced in a separate, earlier 332nd battle pack, which is exactly why some fans felt they were retreading ground.
  • 04Released January 1, 2026 at $22.99, BrickEconomy projects this set to retire sometime in mid to late 2027, typical lifespan for a Star Wars battle pack.
