The verdict

This $29.99 Batmobile improves on the previous version almost everywhere: lower stance, better roofline, more accurate rear engine and a strong Batman minifigure.

It still uses stickers for some body detail and the cowl is not completely film-accurate, but the finished car looks far more expensive than it is. For fans of The Batman, this is the small version to own.

Best for: Fans of The Batman who want an accurate play-scale Batmobile with a display-ready silhouette

The full review

What it is

The Batman Batmobile recreates the film's modified muscle car rather than trying to turn it into a sleek fantasy vehicle. The 330-piece model has a removable roof, a detailed cockpit, a low hood and the exposed engine mass at the rear. A commemorative golden coin sits under the removable hood for the 20th anniversary of LEGO DC Batman, while the included Batman figure wears a fabric cape.

The catch

The reason to choose this version is the shape. Reviewers found the roof flatter, the proportions more authentic and the rear engine substantially better than set 76181 from 2022. Silver and dark-gray mechanical elements break up the black body without making it busy. The main drawbacks are familiar licensed-set compromises: stickers carry some visual detail, and the available cowl piece does not perfectly match Robert Pattinson's onscreen mask.

Who it's for

At $29.99, this is an unusually easy DC recommendation. It works as a durable play vehicle, but the accurate stance and engine detail also make it look at home in a display row. Buyers who already own the 2022 car need to decide whether refinement is worth duplication; everyone else can treat this as the definitive affordable version of the movie Batmobile.

The parts story

What the build is actually like, and the pieces worth knowing about.

The rear section is the build highlight. Wheel-deflector elements, metallic accents and layered engine pieces create mechanical depth beneath the wide bodywork. The flat roof and narrower cabin correct the top-heavy profile of the previous version, while the removable panels preserve cockpit access.

A new 20th-anniversary golden coin is stored under the hood, and the fabric cape keeps the Batman minifigure seated more easily than a rigid plastic cape would. The model also includes a QR-based digital vehicle open up, though that has no effect on the physical build.

Fun facts

  • 01The set celebrates the 20th anniversary of LEGO DC Batman with a golden coin hidden under the hood.
  • 02Its QR code opens up the Batmobile and a golden variant in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
  • 03The completed car measures about seven inches long.
