I love a Creator 3-in-1 that actually earns the hook on the back of the box, and this one does.

You get a genuinely good looking ukulele model first, then you tear it down twice more into a toucan and a tropical fish, and each rebuild feels like a different set rather than a token remix. I will be honest, the strings are stickers not string, and if you only ever build the first model the other two-thirds of the set's charm goes to waste. This is for the person who wants a display piece over their desk and enjoys the build as much as the finished shelf life, not someone who just wants a ukulele up on the wall for a weekend.

What it is

The Tropical Ukulele is part of the smaller wave of Creator 3-in-1 sets LEGO leaned into after the Electric Guitar did well, and you can feel that lineage the moment you start building. The main model is a chunky, wall-ready ukulele covered in warm wood tones and a tropical leaf print across the body, and it comes with a little stand or hook so it actually hangs like a piece of art rather than lying flat on a shelf. What got me was how confidently it commits to the instrument shape, the curved body, the neck, the sound hole, it all reads as a ukulele from across the room, not just up close.

The catch

Where this set either wins you over or loses you is the rebuild. Tear the ukulele down and you get a toucan, tear that down and you get a tropical fish, and both of those secondary builds use the same tropical-print pieces in ways that feel intentional rather than recycled. I will be straight with you though, the strings are printed rather than actual string, which a few builders online found a little underwhelming for a display instrument, and because it is one full teardown to the next model, you never get to keep more than one build up at once. If you were hoping to display all three permanently, this is not that set.

Who it's for

Get this one if you like the idea of a rotating display piece, something you rebuild every few months rather than something you build once and forget. It is also a nice one for anyone collecting the Creator instrument sub-line after the Electric Guitar or the Grand Piano. Skip it if you specifically want a ukulele prop with real-feeling strings, or if you want maximum minifigure and scene value for your piece count, because this set has neither.

Building the ukulele first is the most satisfying part of the set, the body comes together in overlapping curved plates that give it real shape instead of the blocky look smaller instrument sets sometimes have, and the tropical leaf print pieces get worked in gradually so you are not just slapping a sticker sheet onto a finished shape. Snapping it onto the wall mount at the end genuinely feels like hanging a piece of decor, which is the whole point of this sub-line.

The standout pieces are the specialty prints used across all three builds, the same tropical leaf and citrus-toned elements show up on the ukulele body, then get repurposed into feathers on the toucan and scales on the fish, which is a nice bit of parts efficiency for a set this size. There are useful small curved slopes and tiles in bright yellows, oranges, and teals that are worth digging out of your bin for other tropical or animal builds later, even if you never touch this set again after the first rebuild.
